One day in 2005, I sent a letter to the editor of our local paper, because the DMV was making us crazy. My letter was pretty long and my boss said “Nobody will read it, it's too long". His wife said “Let me read it.” The next morning she walked over to me and said” Send your letter.! It was published not as a letter to the editor but on the front page of the home section in the Honolulu Sunday paper.

I’m not a reader, but two Tarot readers told me I was a writer, I said no I am a painter but before I knew it, I had written several stories about my solo hitch-hiking adventures around the World from 1966 to 1972.

When the pandemic hit I had time to write, and I did. This is a collection of memories and truths that I have learned over the course of my seven years of hitch hiking and forty nine years of being a wife and mother of four children. You will find lots of humor and smiles within these pages and also wisdoms that that may help you navigate this crazy World we live in. Enjoy!
